BEMPESTA 180MG TABLET contains Bempedoic Acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Lipid lowering agents. Bempesta Tablet is used to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease.

It is used alone or together with cholesterol-lowering medicine (statins) to treat primary hypercholesterolaemia (condition in which blood cholesterol level rises above the normal limits) or mixed dyslipidaemia in adults when statins become intolerable to treat the condition in affected individuals.

Mixed dyslipidaemia is a condition that occurs due to elevations in low-density lipoprotein (LDL) (known as bad cholesterol) and triglyceride levels accompanied with low levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) (known as good cholesterol) which is generally characterized by the symptoms such as tightness/pain in chest, dizziness, and awareness of heartbeat (palpitation).
